CLEMSON - Clemson coach Brad Brownell’s young team will receive early tests in the 2012-13 season as Clemson hosts both Purdue on Nov. 28, as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, and Arizona on Dec.

Clemson will also play Gonzaga on Nov. 22 in Orlando, Fla. as part of the Old Spice Classic.
Clemson graduates both Andre Young and Tanner Smith from last season’s team.
“We have a very challenging schedule,” Brownell said. “We’re unbelievably excited to bring Purdue and Arizona to Littlejohn Coliseum. They’re perennial NCAA teams. It’s unbelievably hard to get those kind of games at home. Hopefully our fans will understand how special that is.”
ACC play begins on Jan. 5 when Clemson hosts Florida State.
Clemson travels to Duke on Jan. 8 and hosts North Carolina on Feb. 28.
The ACC has expanded the conference schedule to 18 games this season.
Clemson’s ACC schedule features home-and-home series against Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
Clemson begins the season No. 12 when it hosts Presbyterian.
