Charleston police arrest man in connection with Baycreek Drive burglary
Charleston police arrested a man accused of stealing a weed eater and three bicycles from another man’s garage.
Investigators found the stolen property on Marcus Johnson, 22, of Bolton Road and charged him with second-degree burglary Tuesday, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.
The owner of the burglarized home on Baycreek Drive woke up about 8 a.m. Sunday and realized he forgot to close his garage door the night before, Francis said. When he went into the garage he discovered his property stolen.
Johnson is being held at the Charleston County jail.
This case is still under investigation.
