Brown misses out on match play at U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur golf

HERSHEY, PA. — Lea Anne Brown of Mount Pleasant came up three strokes shy of advancing into the match-play portion of the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur golf tournament being played at Hershey Country Club’s West Course.

Brown shot 85-83—168, 20 over par, and it took a score of 17-over to make the top 64 who qualified for match play. She advanced to the final 16 in the 2010 Senior Women’s Amateur.

Lisa Schlesinger of Laytonsville, Md., was the qualifying medalist with a total of 149.
