Colleton County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man accused of gunning down another man outside of a nightclub Thursday night.

Moray Dupree Holmes, 34, of Walterboro died from a gunshot wound after a 9:50 p.m. shooting at Chase Lounge, Colleton County Coroner Richard Harvey said.

Authorities said Holmes was shot multiple times at the nightclub at Proctor and Rivers streets, just outside of Walterboro, and taken by personal vehicle to Colleton Medical Center, where he died.

Deputies have sworn out warrants charging Quoteas Sylvester Nesbitt, 28, of Mincey Ave. in Walterboro with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He should be considered armed and dangerous, Chief Deputy Ted Stanfield said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 549-1203 or 549-2211 or Crimestoppers at 888-Crime-SC.
