CLEMSON - Clemson football season ticket sales have increased for the first time since the recession began in 2009, according to Clemson chief financial officer Katie Hill.

Hill told The Post and Courier its season tickets have increased 7 percent over last year, following a final tally of season ticket sales last week.

Combined with a 3.5 percent increase in the cost of season tickets ($309 to $320), Clemson expects an increase of $500,000 to $1,000,000 in ticket revenue over last year, depending upon single-game sales.

Hill expects demand for remaining single-team tickets to be strong. Clemson averaged 77,959 fans per game last season – strengthened by single-game sales - compared to 74,214 in 2009.
