A 28-year-old man was arrested last week on a charge of distributing about 2 ounces of marijuana, according to the Charleston Police Department.

Lanarol Dewey Huger of Rutledge Avenue had been wanted on the charge in connection with an April 5, 2011, incident at 2301 Odessa St. He was arrested Thursday.

In response to reports of drug activity last year, the police searched the Odessa Street home and confiscated about 15 ounces of marijuana, 0.65 ounces of cocaine base, 0.16 ounces of cocaine and more than $3,100 in cash.

The estimated total street value of the seized drugs was $17,245.

Huger and three others were arrested on charges of trafficking cocaine base, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

The new charge alleges that Huger distributed more than 56 grams of marijuana. During a hearing last week, Huger’s bail was set at $50,000.
