A gun was recovered and a man arrested after a shooting outside a Hollywood nightclub early Monday morning, according to the incident report.
A 22-year-old man was shot outside Club Rosa at 6278 Highway 162 about 1:30 a.m. Monday, a Charleston County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said. The unidentified man was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The report that was released Tuesday provides more details on the incident.
The report says the club is in Hollywood, a small town near Ravenel west of Charleston, and a town clerk confirmed that. When deputies arrived on the scene, a security guard handed them a black 9 mm semiautomatic handgun he said he recovered after the shooting, according to the report.
Deputies questioned two men who tried to drive off and another man walking in the parking lot. The man in the parking lot told deputies the gun was his, according to the report. He was identified as Ricardo M. Chisolm, 30, of Clyburn Road in Adams Run.
A records check showed the gun had been reported stolen from Georgia. Chisolm then told deputies the gun belonged to one of the men who tried to drive off.
Deputies ran a check on Chisolm and found he was wanted by the Sheriff’s Office and North Charleston Police, according to the report. He was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Court records on Chisolm show multiple arrests on drug and violence charges.
The investigation continues.
