Shade trees, ample yard, cozy porch are some of the comforts of owning a home, right? Well, to be honest, those perks also come in handy with a lease.
Thatís the case with one six-year-old house in Berkeley County. The property is 1222 Creekstone Way, a traditional style home in the Amberglen neighborhood of Hanahan.
Amberglen is in the sought-after Tanner Plantation master planned community off Henry Brown Boulevard.
ďItís on a pond and backs up to woods,Ē says DeLaine Carroll, owner of DeLaine Carroll Realty, who is handling the lease.
She recently lowered the rent to $1,495 a month. The lease is for a year.
The 2,350-square foot house is attractive for a number of reasons. Itís good sized, with three bedrooms, a full bath, powder room and a two-car garage.
Other interior highlights are nine-foot ceilings, a great room with gas log fireplace and wall-to-wall carpeting. The kitchen entertains an electric range, dishwasher, built-in microwave and pantry. Thereís a laundry with washer and dryer connections. Bedrooms come with walk-in closets. The house also has a screened-in porch.
The surroundings are peaceful, with a large lawn in front and the natural setting in the back. The two-story residence is striking, with Charleston green-style shutters on the windows. Meanwhile, the dwelling is relatively new, built in 2006.
Amberglen is zoned for Hanahan schools, which include Hanahan Elementary, Middle and High.
Meanwhile, the rental home is close to retail centers including a Bi-Lo shopping plaza at the entrance to Tanner Plantation.
ďItís really a nice house,Ē Carroll says.
The house is on the main entry road to Amberglen. Heading west, get on Interstate 26 and follow it to I-526. Make a right on I-526 toward Mount Pleasant. Go three miles and take the North Rhett Avenue exit. Turn left on North Rhett and follow the roadway for two miles. After crossing Goose Creek, the road becomes Henry Brown Boulevard. Proceed another mile and turn left into Tanner Plantation on Tanner Ford Boulevard. Pass the Bi-Lo shopping area and make a right on Creekstone Way. Ahead is 1222 Creekstone Way.
