St. Johns firefighters raising funds to fight Muscular Dystrophy

St. Johns firefighters will battle Muscular Dystrophy Friday and through the weekend in a campaign to help fund research on the disease.

Firefighters will collect money Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the following locations: Piggly Wiggly at Main Road and Maybank Highway; Bohicket Marina, Bears Bluff Road and Liberia Road; Freshfields Village shopping center

River Road and Bohicket Road.

A St. Johns fire truck will be at each location to collect donations, Capt. James Ghi said. All funds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
