First round suspended in Carolinas PGA Championship at Daniel Island

Tuesday’s opening round of the Carolinas PGA section championship at Daniel Island Club Section Professional Championship was suspended at 9:45 a.m. because of heavy rains.

The first round will resume at 9 a.m. today.

The tournament is a 54-hole event, with a cut to the low one third of the field after 36 holes.
