Accounting

Stacey B. Hollings has joined Elliott Davis LLC as a tax manager in the firm’s Charleston office. She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accountancy from the College of Charleston. She is a certified public accountant.

Banking

Kristen Granet and Justin Brumfield have been promoted at Southcoast Bank, and Tyler Wilhoit has joined the company.

Granet is assistant branch manager of the Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in French from the College of Charleston.

Brumfield is assistant vice president. He also is branch manager and business development officer for the Coleman Boulevard office. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and business administration from the College of Charleston.

Wilhoit is assistant vice president, business development officer and branch manager of the Dorchester Road office in North Charleston. Previously, he was with SunTrust Bank. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia.

Defense

Rob Bierman has joined Bowhead Science and Technology LLC as business development director for the company’s Charleston division. He has 10 years of experience working with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in business administration from The Citadel.

Dental

Dr. P. Spencer Witkin has joined the dental practice of Samuel M. Hazel DMD LLC in Walterboro. Previously, he operated a solo practice in Beaufort. He has a bachelor’s degree from The Citadel and a degree in dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine. He completed a hospital dentistry residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Education

Erik F. Kreutner has been named head of school at Mason Preparatory School in Charleston. He has been with the school since 1990. Previously, he was assistant head of school, middle school director and director of technology. He attended Duke University and the College of Charleston, and has a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of South Carolina.

Ezra Cowan and Julia Carter have joined Trident Academy in Mount Pleasant.

Cowan is athletic director. Previously, he was a graduate teaching assistant in the health, exercise and sport science program at The Citadel. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University.

Carter teaches science in the middle and upper schools. She has a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Hollins University and a master’s degree in environmental studies from the College of Charleston. Previously, she taught at Clarendon Hall.

Engineering

Chris Marcelli and Andrew Gordon have joined ECS in Charleston as engineering technicians. Gordon has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston.

Festival

Rachel Reid has joined The BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival as ticketing and office coordinator.

Previously, she was a support assistant at Blackbaud Inc. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston.

Law

Matt Moore has joined Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP’s Charleston office, working in the firm’s commercial real estate practice group. He has a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Real estate

Heather Jackson has joined Carolina One Real Estate’s Summerville Main Street office. Previously she was in sales for 11 years at Trader Publishing Co.

Mike Carrigan has joined Prestige Real Estate Group. Previously, he was in real estate sales and land development with JSP Realty and Carolina One.

Technology

Rich Young has joined Mount Pleasant-based eGroup as marketing and corporate communications manager. He has more than 12 years of marketing, communications and public relations experience. Previously, he was vice president at Lewis PR. He has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston College.
