LEXINGTON, KY. — Ali Castillo lined an RBI double down the right-field line in the 10th inning to break a scoreless tie and give the Charleston RiverDogs a 1-0 victory over the Lexington Legends on Saturday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Charleston’s (66-62, 27-34 second half) third straight win clinched a series victory. Lexington’s (67-63, 28-33) losing streak reached 10 with the loss.

With one out in the top of the 10th and Casey Stevenson on first, Castillo’s double off Dayan Diaz (4-4) brought Stevenson all the way around with the game’s first run and the eventual game-winner. It was his second hit of the night and gave the RiverDogs their third consecutive one-run win.

Pedro Guerra earned his seventh save by striking out the side in the bottom of the 10th. Dan Mahoney (2-0) picked up his second win after he tossed two hitless innings.

Corey Black started for Charleston and in five frames, he allowed only one hit and one walk. Lexington almost got to him right away when Chan Jong Moon doubled to start the bottom of the first, but that was the only hit the Legends would get all night. Black retired the next three batters and went on to set down 12 in a row. Rigoberto Arrebato came in in the sixth and continued the fine pitching with two scoreless innings of his own.
