Banking

Katie McCravy has joined Regions Bank as branch sales manager at the North Charleston office. She has more than 12 years of industry experience. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree from Webster University.

Defense

Steven Torlay has joined M.C. Dean Inc. as senior vice president based in the company’s Charleston office. Previously, he was with the Enterprise Systems Engineering unit at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic.

Electrical

Jeff Beukema has joined Transworld Inc. Electrical Contractors as a service consultant. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and more than five years of experience in preventive maintenance sales and service.

Health care

Dr. Anthony Firilas has joined Roper St. Francis Physician Partners’ Charleston Colorectal Surgery in downtown Charleston. He is board certified in colon and rectal surgery. He has a medical degree from Temple University, and he completed a residency at Conemaugh Memorial and Temple University Hospital.

Hospitality

Ellen Schmedinghoff has joined Charleston-based Charming Inns as social media and content manager. She has about five years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Previously, she was marketing manager at Gosnell and Co. Event Management, program coordinator at Darkness to Light and manager at Piccolo Spoleto Festival. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston.

Law

Allison C. Nussbaum has joined the Mount Pleasant office of McAngus Goudelock & Courie. Her practice focuses on workers compensation defense. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Multimedia

Keith Bradshaw has joined Production Design Associates as director of photography. He has been a member of the band Plane Jane for the past 12 years.

Also, Victoria Mele has been promoted to senior editor. Previously, she was video producer and editor. She has a bachelor’s degree in electronic media from Kuztown University.

Nonprofit

Amy Brennan, Veronica Vereen, Kathleen Hancock and Ashley Pennington have joined The Citadel Foundation.

Brennan is as assistant dean for development representing the School of Engineering. Previously, she was executive director of the Georgetown County Family YMCA.

Vereen is a gift officer responsible for securing annual fund support. Previously, she was community director for the March of Dimes.

Hancock is executive assistant. Previously, she was with Dixon Hughes and John Deere.

Pennington is administrative assistant for support services. Previously, she was with Defender Services Inc.

Real estate

Tammie Phillips and Jennifer Liverett have joined Coldwell Banker United Realtors in Mount Pleasant as agents. Phillips has 12 years of real estate industry experience. Previously, she was with Ryland Homes. Liverett, who previously was with Coldwell Banker Coastal, also is a loan officer for Milend Inc.

Heather Jackson has joined Carolina One Real Estate’s Summerville Main Street office as an agent with the Shirley Phillips Team. Previously, she was in sales for 11 years at Trader Publishing Co.

Restaurant

Evan Powell has joined Republic Garden & Lounge in Charleston as general manager. Previously, he was restaurant manager at Patrick Properties Hospitality Group’s Fish Restaurant. He has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston.
