North Charleston police arrest 4 men in undercover drug operation
North Charleston police arrested several men from the Oakgrove and Chicora-Cherokee neighborhoods Wednesday in an undercover drug sting.
The operation targeted suspected drug dealers in the communities, spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
Police arrested two men on Gumwood Avenue in the Oakgrove community.
Santerrius Montrel King, 23, faces cocaine possession and distribution charges, including near a school.
Deante Martez Baptiste, 20, faces cocaine distribution charges, including near a school.
Police arrested a third man, Robert Washington, 48, on Apache Street in the Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood on cocaine distribution charges, including near a school.
A fourth man, Richard Randolph, 36, also was arrested on Gumwood during the operation and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
The men were taken to the Charleston County jail and await bail hearings.
