Cross man killed in early morning crash on Old Highway 6 in Berkeley County
A Cross man died following a head-on collision on Old Highway 6 in Berkeley County early Sunday morning.
Randy Levine, 54, was pronounced dead at the Medical University Hospital, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said.
Authorities say Levine was the driver of a 2003 Saturn that was struck head-on by a 2003 Dodge van that crossed the centerline about 12:30 a.m.
The driver of the van, John Moore, Jr., 32, was taken to a local hospital, Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said. Salisbury said Moor was later released.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether either driver was wearing a seatbelt, Collins said.
The wreck remains under investigation.
