The South Atlantic League baseball game between the Charleston RiverDogs and the Hagerstown Suns was postponed due to rain on Friday night.
The game will be made up today as part of a doubleheader that will include two seven-inning games. The first contest will begin at 3 p.m., while the second game will start either at 7 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. The starting pitchers for both games have not been announced.
Fans holding tickets for Friday’s game can exchange them for tickets to any remaining 2012 regular season RiverDogs home game.
Prior to the second game, the RiverDogs will enshrine the three new members of the Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame — Gettys Glaze, Tom Hatley and John Rhodes.
The player auction was postponed until Aug. 17, but fans can begin bidding online at riverdogs.com/auctions.
Today, the Bark Boxer Short Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans will start as scheduled at 6 p.m. Those who would like to receive the giveaway may exit the ballpark and re-enter with their ticket stub to collect their pair of boxer shorts. Tri-county residents who buy tickets at the Riley Park box office will receive $1 off on Go Local Saturday. The Lowcountry Military Woman of the Year will be recognized on Women in Defense Night. Fireworks will follow the second game.
