Dorchester sheriffs report: McGrew child witnessed sex acts, pornography
A 7-year-old Ridgeville girl whose infant brother was fatally mauled earlier this year told counselors she saw her mother and father engage in a sexual threesome with a woman and she viewed homemade pornographic films of her parents, according to an incident report obtained today.
Chantel and Quintin McGrew’s daughter relayed the accounts to a worker at a Summerville facility that counsels children involved in traumatic experiences.
The girl also told the children’s center worker that “she had engaged in inappropriate acts with another unknown juvenile,” according to the report. She did not say when the incidents occurred.
The revelations prompted state officials to remove the girl and the McGrews’ 2-year-old son from their Sandpit Drive home for the second time since the newborn’s death.
Quintin McGrew, 28, faces a charge of unlawful conduct toward a child in the dog mauling incident on April 20. Investigators said he was sleeping when the family’s Labrador retriever mix snatched 2-month-old Aiden from a bouncy swing. Chantel McGrew, 23, and her daughter returned home to find Aiden bloodied and missing a leg.
The S.C. Department of Social Services took the two surviving children into protective custody, but they were returned to the couple June 14.
The new allegations, recorded Thursday in a report filed by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, did not immediately result in any arrests.
