FALL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL: Register through Aug. 16 at the Goose Creek Community or the Casey Community Center. Leagues available for baseball for ages 9-14 and softball for ages 9-12. These leagues are fun, instructional leagues. Travel ball players are not eligible for fall baseball leagues. Participant’s birth certificate and two proofs of residency required to register.
ONE-STROKE PAINTING CLASSES: For ages 12-adult, these classes do not require any painting experience. Classes held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays at the Casey Community Center. Aug. 13 class features a dual canvas inlaid sailboat scene. Aug. 20 class introduces a palm tree scene on a tin or aluminum container. Aug. 27 class features a floral and dragonfly design on a glass or ceramic mixing bowl. Fee per class is $15 and $17 for nonresidents plus supplies.
GUITAR CLASSES: For beginners or intermediate students. A seven-week session for ages 6-adult is set for Wednesdays, Aug. 22-Oct. 3, at the Casey Community Center. Beginners ages 6-9 years is held 5:15-6 p.m.; beginners ages 10-13 is 6:15-7 p.m.; and beginners or intermediate students ages 14 to adult is 7:15- 8 p.m. Students need to bring their own acoustic guitar. Class fee is $80/$85 nonresident.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT: Parents can take advantage of a night out without the kids while they are having fun at the Casey Community Center. Aug. 31 from 6-10 p.m. Available for ages 4 and up. Activities include games and prizes, gymnastics, crafts, pizza dinner, movie and popcorn. First child $15/each additional sibling $10. Nonresidents add $2 per child.
RUBBER STAMPING CLASS: No experience needed for this fun class. Students will learn how to make three different birthday cards with pop-up designs. Aug. 28, 6:30-8 p.m., at the Casey Center. Cost is $12 for residents; $14 for nonresident.
