Patriots Point will host an “Innovation in Education” panel discussion Wednesday on the latest teaching innovations and technologies from across the state.

The program will be held in the U.S.S. Yorktown’s Smokey Stover Theater from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Panelists include: Darren Provost with the Lowcountry Branch of the SC STEM Centers; Gerrita Postlewait, educational Consultant; and Linda O’Bryon, president and CEO of ETV. Each will speak on his or her special areas of expertise, followed by a question and answer period with the audience.

The panel will be held during the Yorktown’s teacher recertification program, which is being offered for the first time this year. It’s designed to inform teachers about the ship’s programs for use in and outside of the classroom.
