Charleston Police need help to ID trucker who stole gas for himself and a friend
A trucker gave a gas-station clerk a bad credit card to clear the way to fill up not only his rig but a buddy’s who pulled up to the pump behind him.
The pair drove off with nearly 274 gallons of gas worth more than $1,000, according to the incident report from Charleston police.
The caper took place about 9:17 p.m. Sunday at the Kangaroo Express gas station at 1968 Meeting Street Road.
Police hope somebody can identify the suspect from the store video. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
