CLEMSON — After failing to sign a single prospect from the state of Georgia in its 2012 recruiting class — territory that Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says is critical to the program — Clemson picked up its sixth prospect from Georgia in the 2013 class on Friday when four-star receiver Demarcus Robinson committed, according to multiple recruiting services.

The 6-2, 200-pound Robinson is ranked as the 14th-best receiver in the 2013 class by Scout.com and the 13th-best receiver by Rivals.com.

Clemson has done well in Georgia in its 2013 cycle, most notably picking up a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect in Robert Nkemdiche.
