Mount Pleasant squad advances to state championship

The Mount Pleasant All-Stars 11-12 age division baseball squad advanced to the Cal Ripken State Tournament last weekend, but fell short in its bid to advance to the Babe Ruth Southeast Regional.

Mount Pleasant lost 12-5 and 4-3 to West Ashley on the final day of the tournament to end its season.

West Ashley advances to the Babe Ruth tournament in Richmond, Va.
