Identity of King Street homicide victim released

A 27-year-old man was dead after a shooting on King Street early today, Charleston police said.

About 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 703 King St. for a reported shooting, police spokesman Charles Francis said.

When the first officers arrived, they found the victim, Francis said.

Charleston County Deputy Coroner Kelly Kraus identified the victim as Deandre Bradley of West Ashley. She said he died at the scene of a gunshot wound.

Detectives were canvassing the neighborhood early this morning and gathering information, Francis said.
