Charleston forecast: Showers, storms expected around noon
Meteorologists from the National Weather Service anticipate showers and storms around midday.
The forecast calls for partly sunny skies, a southwest wind of 6 to 11 mph and a high temperature of 87 degrees. Experts pegged the chance of rainfall at 30 percent.
The greatest chance of showers and thunderstorms will come between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., according to the weather service.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Light northeast wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 76.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 77.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.
Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 77.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.
