Nottingham Forest cancels game against Charleston Battery
The Charleston Battery’s match scheduled for July 28 against England’s Nottingham Forest was canceled.
Nottingham Forest was purchased by a new ownership group this week and has canceled its preseason tour of the United States.
“Obviously we are very disappointed that we will not be able to play Nottingham Forest at the end of the month,” said Charleston Battery president Andrew Bell. “We have a long tradition of hosting international teams and it’s a game that our fans always look forward to. I know there will be much disappointment on hearing the news.”

The Charleston Battery is at home Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. game against Wilmington.
