Berkeley County Council sets special budget meeting
Berkeley County Council will hold a special meeting to pass a resolution to keep paying the bills after killing a proposed new budget earlier this week.
The meeting to extend the current budget is at 10 a.m. Friday in the supervisor’s conference room.
The current budget expires at the end of the week. Council has to start over on a new budget, which requires three meetings and a public hearing.
One of the sticking points of the failed budget was how the county should come up with its share of funding for Trident Technical College’s new nursing and science building.
