North Charleston Mayor Summey home from the hospital
North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey returned home from the hospital today and hopes to resume a normal schedule in a few weeks.
“I’ll tell you what —it’s been a wild month,” Summey said, referring to his emergency gallbladder surgery four weeks ago and two subsequent operations for infections around his artificial knee.
Summey was operated on Thursday evening and recuperated over the weekend.
“I think they got it all this time,” he said of his infection.
