First day of summer will bring temperatures near 90

Today is the first full day of summer and it shows as temperatures continue to rise across the Lowcountry.

Skies will be sunny and mostly clear today with highs in the upper 80s and lows around 70.

East winds will be between 5 and 10 mph and will become southeast this afternoon.

Friday: Partly cloudy with highs around 90 and lows around 70. Winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s and lows around 70. Chance of rain is 20 percent.
