Charleston Braves sweep to title

The Charleston Braves 12-and-under baseball team recently won the Swing for the Cure tournament in Lexington.

The Braves went 4-0 with victories over Colt 45, Talons Baseball and the Charleston Heat.

Coached by Brad Wiley and Don Pottieger Jr., the team is comprised of players from Mount Pleasant, West Ashley and North Charleston. They include Jordan Hughes, Trey Pottieger, Jacob Morris, Hunter Wiley, Regan Stoll, Samuel Hill, Tyler Spigner, Alec Hiott, and Michael Poulis.
