Worker surprised by 5-foot python in SC hotel room
MYRTLE BEACH -- A maintenance worker was surprised to find a 5-foot python lounging inside a motel room in Myrtle Beach.
WPDE-TV reports that Jerry Timberlake saw the jungle carpet python on a window sill inside a room at the Coral Sands Motel on Thursday morning.
Timberlake says the snake had belonged to the room’s last tenant, who left it behind.
A local snake enthusiast says he will either keep the python or make sure it goes to a good home. Jungle carpet pythons are non-venomous and are native to Australia.
