CLEMSON - Grayson (Ga.) High defensive back David Kamara committed to Clemson on Wednesday, according to multiple recruiting services.

The three-star prospect is a high school teammate and friend of the country’s No. 1 overall recruit, five-star defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, who is also considering Clemson.

Kamara is the second friend and prep teammate of Nkemdiche to commit to Clemson; Grayson High running back Wayne Gallman made a verbal commitment to Clemson in April.

The three have talked about playing together in college and Nkemdiche visited Clemson on Wednesday.

“Me and Robert might try and go to the same place,” Kamara said earlier this year. “We all like Clemson a lot. I’d say it’s a seven or an eight chance (out of 10) that we all pick Clemson. We all want to go to Clemson, but it’s where we each feel most at home.”

Nkemdiche is considering other college football powers like Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Texas.
