Daniel Islands Jeremy Grab captures golf championship
AIKEN — After 54 holes of tough championship play, Jeremy Grab,of Daniel Island, and J,D, Lehman, of Hilton Head, needed extra holes to decide the South Carolina Junior Golf Association championship on Thursday.
After finishing regulation at 1-over-par, Grab knocked it to three feet on the first playoff hole on the Wisteria-Jones Course at Woodside Plantation. A dead-center putt gave Grab the victory after his third-round 71 (217) garnered him a tie at the top.
Finishing a shot back in third with a 72 (218) was Austin Zoller, of North Charleston.
Andrew Novak, of Mount Pleasant, was seventh at 71 (221), and R.J. Keur, of North Charleston, was ninth at 76 (224).
