Performing Arts Center hosts Best of Broadway open house June 20
The North Charleston Performing Arts Center Best of Broadway series hosts its annual “Select Your Seat” open house party 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Current and prospective Best of Broadway season ticket holders are invited to “select their seats” for the 2012-2013 season. The Open House party features Broadway music, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a wine tasting and backstage tours.
The Best of Broadway 2012-2013 season features Cameron Mackintosh’s 25th anniversary production of “Les Miserables, with new staging and reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo. The show will run Feb. 19-24, 2013.
Four other productions are slated for the upcoming season: “Rock of Ages” (Oct. 4-5, 2012); “Shrek the Musical” (Nov. 23-24, 2012); “West Side Story” (Dec. 18-19, 2012); and Blue Man Group (Jan. 11-12, 2013).Best of Broadway also will present a one-night-only performance by Mannheim Steamroller on Dec. 1, 2012. All performances will be held at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
Season ticket packages now are available at the Coliseum Advance Ticket Office or by calling the Best of Broadway hotline (843) 202-ARTS (2787), or online at www.northcharlestoncoliseumpac.com. Individual show tickets will go on sale at a later date.
The Best of Broadway series features national touring Broadway shows and is presented by the North Charleston Performing Arts Center and the Nederlander Producing Company of America.
