Charleston police identified a man who jumped from a Bee Street parking garage Tuesday as Edwin Joseph White, 59, of Moncks Corner.

MUSC’s public safety department notified Charleston police at 3:25 p.m. to report that a man had jumped from the structure at 122 Bee Street, police spokesman Charles Francis said.

Officers arrived and found White lying in the grass on the north side of the street.
