Basketball team has a big Impact
The Tri-County Impact Lady Heat defeated five teams to win the South Carolina YBOA state championship on June 1-3 in Greenville.
With the triumph, the group of sixth-grade girls qualified for the nationals in Orlando, Fla.
Coached by Derrick Nelson and Cliff Edwards, members of the team include: Karima Jenkins, Cordelia Thomas, Deavon Smalls, Jasmine Frink, Ari Ellis, Aaliyah Nelson, Kenya King, Haliyah Sumter, Daja Lamar, Elysa Wesolek, Gemsra Foy, Lakeisha Gerald, and TyeAnna Murray.
