Coroner: Bones found on Daniel Island are from a cow
Bones uncovered by a group of children on Daniel Island Thursday are from a cow, the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office said.
The children were digging for artifacts near a jogging path on River Landing Drive when they found three bone pieces, an incident report said.
Charleston police arrived on scene and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office took the remains to see if they were animal or human.
The coroner’s office confirmed today that the remains were from a cow and the case is now closed.
