Man killed in wreck on Highway 162 in Hollywood has been identified
A 23-year-old Hollywood man died today after being ejected from a car in a wreck on S.C. Highway 162, authorities said.
Damon Robinson died in the single-car crash.
The wreck happened shortly after 10 a.m. near the intersection of S.C. 162 and Dixie Plantation Road, Charleston County sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
A car was speeding along when it went off the left shoulder of the road and crashed into a tree and a utility pole, Brady said. The driver, the only person in the car, was thrown from the vehicle in the impact and died, he said.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
