A woman was critically wounded this morning after someone sprayed a Walterboro-area home with gunfire, authorities said.
The shooting happened some time before 5:30 a.m. at 117 Taylor St., Lot 9, just off Sniders Highway.
The 44-year-old woman told authorities she was sleeping inside when she was struck four times. She was rushed to Colleton Medical Center and later airlifted to the Medical University Hospital.
Colleton County sheriff’s investigators found more than a dozen rounds in the street outside, authorities said.
