Arrest warrant issued for Charleston teen in assault case
Charleston police issued an arrest warrant for an area teenager in connection with an aggravated assault, a report said.
The incident happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday when a teenager was reportedly “punched and kicked” at the intersection of Romney and Nassau streets, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.
The victim’s mother notified police about the assault, the report said, and an arrest warrant was issued for Richard Simmons, 17, of Romney Street in connection with the incident.
