Kitchen fire breaks out at Magnolias restaurant
A kitchen fire broke out at Magnolia’s restaurant at 185 East Bay Street downtown.
Fire at the deep fryer started around 8 a.m. and has been extinguished, Mark Ruppel, a spokesman for Charleston’s Fire Department said.
The fire damaged the restaurant’s fire suppression system above the fryer and it will have to remain closed until the system is fixed, Ruppel said.
