A second man has been arrested in connection with a slaying at a Cross nightclub.

Brandon Jerell Singleton, 20, of Sunshine Lane in St. Stephen was arrested Saturday in Myrtle Beach, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday. Singleton was taken into custody without incident with the assistance of the S.C. Law Enforcement Division, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Moon said.

Singleton is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center on a charge of murder in the death of Kiron Jenkins of Pineville. Jenkins was shot to death about 3:30 a.m. May 20 at Da Zone club on County Line Road in Cross. Detron Lamont Giles, 32, of Wells Drive in St. Stephen was taken into custody Thursday and charged with murder.

No other arrests are expected at this time, Moon said.
