CHESNEE — A North Carolina woman faces charges after troopers say she left an accident that killed two South Carolina residents.

Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne says 37-year-old Candace Beheler of Rutherfordton, N.C., was arrested in North Carolina and is awaiting extradition to South Carolina. It was not clear if she has a lawyer.

Troopers say Beheler left the scene of an accident Sunday that killed two Chesnee residents.

Beheler is charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, driving left of the center line, displaying an improper vehicle tag and driving an uninsured vehicle.

Rhyne says Beheler hit a motorcycle carrying 25-year-old Jeremy Ryan Phillips and 26-year-old Danielle Elizabeth Hazelring. Both of them died at the scene.
