Clemson baseball opens play in ACC Tournament Thursday
CLEMSON — Clemson baseball opens play in the ACC Tournament at 11 a.m. Thursday at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, N.C.
Clemson (32-24 ACC) will play Florida State at 3 p.m. Friday and Georgia Tech at 11 a.m. Saturday.
In the format, the eight-team field is divided into two pools with each team playing every team in its pool. The teams with the best record in each pool play Sunday for the title.
Clemson was swept by Wake Forest on Saturday, likely ending any outside chance the Tigers had at hosting an NCAA regional. Most projections have the Tigers as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament entering this weekend.
Clemson has won six of its last eight series and has played better baseball in the second half of the season.
