What: The Lowcountry Highrollers junior roller derby team and all-stars team face off against teams from Columbia and North Carolina in this double-header.

When: Doors open at 4:30 p.m.; junior team starts at 5 p.m., all-stars at 6 p.m. May 26

Monday, May 28 Republican Women
What: The speaker at this month’s Sea Island Republican Women’s Club will be Joseph Kurt, radio talk-show host on 94.3. Enjoy dinner and keep informed on local, state and federal issues.

What: La Leche League meetings are open to all mothers and expectant mothers who are interested in learning more about breastfeeding or have questions. Babies, preschoolers and toddlers are always welcome.

Tuesday, June 5 Postpartum depression
What: The Ruth Rhoden Craven Foundation hosts a support group for women who are suffering or who have suffered from postpartum depression or anxiety and their families. Park in the lot behind the church and enter the educational building, not the chapel.

When: 6:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month

Where: Church of the Holy Cross, Daniel Island Drive and Seven Farms Drive
