The College of Charleston’s Higdon Student Leadership Center celebrated the first students to complete its Leadership Certificate Program.

The program assists students in setting goals, increasing skills and applying their abilities.

Graduating seniors Vikki Bernotski, John Pratt, Qi Zheng, Daniel Winters and Elliot Dickerson were the first recipients of the Leadership Certificate.

To earn a certificate students must attend two Ann and Lee Higdon Fall Leadership Conferences, hold a leadership position on campus and complete a personal Leadership Portfolio amongst other tasks.

As part of their portfolio students created a “Reflection Artifact.” Elliot Dickerson and Daniel Winters created videos, Qi Zheng created a website, Vikki Bernotski created a tri-fold and John Pratt created a photo essay.
