ITS staffer named The Citadel’s employee of the year
Justin Palmer of Information Technology Services at The Citadel was honored as the school’s 2012 Employee of the Year.
Palmer lives in Summerville and was selected for the award by his peers at The Citadel.
The finalists were Gayle McCaffrey, director of facilities finance in the department of facilities and engineering, and Carmella Trez, administrative assistant in the department of electrical and computer engineering. McCaffrey has been missing since March.
Palmer received a $1,500 award, gift package from Auxiliary Services, free campus parking for a year, 2012 season tickets to Citadel football games and tickets to the Biltmore House in Asheville. Palmer is the school’s technical support manager.
