Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its first Charleston area restaurant at 11 a.m. Tuesday at 7398 Rivers Ave., Suite 102, North Charleston. It will be open seven days a week.

Officials are scouring the Mount Pleasant area for a second location, a company spokeswoman said. Though no official announcement has been made, a company official earlier this year said one is planned near Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and is tentatively set to open in November.

More convenience

Khaled Ibrahim has leased a 2,000-square-foot space at 890 Bacons Bridge Road in Summerville for a shop called Bacons Bridge Convenience. The store is a relocation of an existing business he operated down the street, according to Pete Harper of Lee and Associates commercial real estate firm, which represented landlord Harriet’s Field LLC.

Moving in

Fabulous Fines, a framing, home goods, giftware and accessories shop on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant for nearly five years, has moved its merchandise to 162 Seven Farms Drive on Daniel Island in the Island Expressions shop owned by Sara Cooper. Susanne Dandridge operates Fabulous Fines.

New lease

The Market Collection Inc. has leased a 1,567-square-foot retail space at 181 King St. in downtown Charleston. An antique shop has been there for many years.

Fitting in

Erika Harrison has applied with the city of Charleston for a zoning variance to put a membership fitness club at 145 St. Philip St. on the peninsula.

The property is in a diverse residential district. The property owner is 145 Developers LLC. The request will be heard at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in the third-floor meeting room at 75 Calhoun St. during the Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals meeting.

Redesigned

Southern Lady Hospitality interior design firm in North Charleston is now Charleston Commercial Interiors in Mount Pleasant. Owned by Michell and Steve Weil, the firm offers commercial furnishing and design, installation and renovations by the piece for hospitality, health care, restaurants, student housing and other commercial properties.

The new office is at 1121 Park West Blvd., Suite B, No. 178, in Mount Pleasant.

Lights out

A-1 China Super Buffet, which opened earlier this year after extensive renovations at a site in St. Andrews Shopping Center in West Ashley, has closed.

There’s no sign on the door, but the fixtures are still inside.

Fresh market

Mount Pleasant Towne Centre’s Farmers Market returns for a second season 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each Saturday starting this weekend through July 14 on Theatre Drive. Look for in-season produce, specialty vendors, food artisans, music and giveaways.

Wando High School musicians and local acoustic bands will perform, and jump castles will be provided for children. Opening weekend will feature a giveaway of sustainable tote bags. Local farmers and food artisans who want to take part should contact Kristi Tolley at 216-9900.
