Two brothers charged in North Charleston shooting
Two brothers were charged with attempted murder and weapons possession after a man was shot Friday night in North Charleston, according to North Charleston police.
Police responded about 10 p.m. to a report of a shooting near Prince and Taylor streets and found Emmanuel Patterson with a gunshot to his stomach. Patterson was transported to Medical University Hospital.
Investigators later found two men believed to be involved in the shooting, according to Spencer Pryor. Montreal Drayton, 24, was found and arrested at a Taylor Street residence. His brother, Justin Drayton, 21, was apprehended at a Piedmont Street residence.
Witnesses told police the incident may have stemmed from an ongoing argument between Patterson and the two brothers.
Both men were charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
