Kangaroo Express offers many new incentives for customers this summer
As many of you already know, I am a big fan of Kangaroo Express gas stations because of the amazing deals I have been able to get. Last year, I wrote about its unusual marketing project called the Roo Cup Club. Members receive text messages with exclusive deals that can be anything from 50-cent hot dogs to free coffee refills on specific days. To join, text the word “ROOCUP” to 843766.
This year, the company is adding even more fun ways for customers to get bargains.
First, each 2012 Roo Cup has a QR code customers can scan every Monday to access giveaways, videos and games.
You can preregister on the Kangaroo Express Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kangarooexpress to reserve a 2012 Roo Cup and get your cup earlier than anyone else (starting at 7 p.m. May 16). Those who preregister also get a printable certificate with information about how to redeem rewards in local stores. Cups will be available to the public May 23 for $6.99 plus tax. I'd hurry though. Last year the 264,000 Roo Cups that were available sold out in just a month.
“Our guests made the Roo Cup their own last year by decorating their cups, taking them on vacations and even giving the refillable cup its ‘Roo Cup' name,” said John Fisher, senior vice president of marketing, merchandising and restaurant operations for Kangaroo Express via email. “We think they'll love this year's cup, and its added new deals, even more. With Subway restaurants in eight of our area stores, Charleston guests can get $1 off their Subway footlong just for showing their Roo Cup.”
When you visit the store, look for the Roo Cup kiosk to get deals on candy and snacks. Also this year, Kangaroo Express is looking for locals to participate in the Roo Cup Street Team. As an incentive for joining, members get free Roo Cup swag to share with the Charleston community. Visit www.kangaroo express.comfor information and to sign up.
