Students at Fort Dorchester raise $15,300 for the American Heart Association
Students at Fort Dorchester Elementary School raised $15,300 for the American Heart Association. During their P.E. classes in February, kindergarten through fifth-grade students at Fort Dorchester got the jump on heart disease and stroke. Under the direction of P.E. teachers Donna Williams and Missy Mortier, the students participated in
the school’s 10th annual “Jump Rope for Heart” event.
The “Jump Rope for Heart” program provided an opportunity for students to perform community service while promoting teamwork and building school spirit as they worked together for a cause.
